CLYSC Dam 3v3 Tournament Rules

 

Unless modified below, all FIFA rules apply.

AGE

Age divisions are determined by the age of the oldest player. The age divisions for this tournament will be as follows:
Boys and Girls Under 7*, 8, 9*, 10, 11*, 12, 13*, 14, 15*, 16
*Pure age groups will be formed if possible.

 

TEAM REGISTRATION

The following documents must be submitted for examination and approval at registration:
1. A 3v3 team roster (mailed in advance).
2. All U7-U8 players must complete all sections of the 3v3 Medical Release Form.
3. All U9-U18 players must provide a Player ID card and a Medical Release Form.
4. All adults must have photo ID and Medical Release Form.
5. Check-in is MANDATORY. Friday night from 6:00-7:00 pm at the Hidden Valley Sports Park.

 

TEAM WITHDRAWALS

A team withdrawing from the tournament after its acceptance shall forfeit the entry fee. Teams providing incorrect information or changing information on the entry form is prohibited.

Every effort will be made to schedule around inclement weather, however, should the entire weekend be rained out, refunds will be made less administrative costs. In the event of a partial rainout, 1st and 2nd place (U-9 and above) will be determined based upon games completed.

 

PLAYER ELIGIBILITY

1. All youth players must be registered with a youth soccer association for the 2007-2008 season.
2. A team playing an ineligible player shall forfeit all games in which the ineligible player participated.
3. No team shall be allowed more than six (6) or less than three (3) players on its roster.
4. No player currently registered with a Division I or II (select) team may play on a recreational team.
5. Each player may play on only one team per weekend. Exception: Adult players may play on both co-ed and gender teams.
6. A player or manager ejected from a game will not be allowed to participate in the next game (minimum). However, another teammate may immediately take the place of the ejected player.

 

GAME BALL

Home team (listed first) is responsible for providing a game ball for each match. Age division determines ball size.

 

NO COACHING PERMITTED

No coaching permitted except by participating teammates.

 

FORMAT

1. Only 3 players of each team are permitted on the playing field at any time.
2. No offside law in effect.
3. Guaranteed 3 games.
4. All restarts are indirect.
5. A team must have a minimum of 2 players on the field throughout the match. A team with less than 2 players on the field will forfeit the match. Adult Coed teams must have at least one woman on the field at all times.
6. Participation trophies will be given to all U7-U8 players. Awards will be given to 1st and 2nd in all remaining age groups.
7. Intentional handling, which in the opinion of the referee would have resulted in a goal, will be awarded a goal.
8. A goal may only be scored from the attacking half of the field.
9. Players may not play the ball whatsoever in the penalty area, which is a semicircle in front of each goal.
10. Restarts from the sideline will occur as kick-ins.
11. Substitutions will be allowed at any stoppage of play with referee permission.

 

GAME LENGTH

All games, including the championship games, will consist of two (2) twelve-minute periods for U10 and younger teams, or two (2) fifteen-minute periods for U11 and older players. Should a tie occur in a playoff match, match will be decided by overtime, the first team to score wins. Overtime will consist of 2 – five minute halves. If no score within time limit, shots from mid line. Shots alternate; first to score 1 more wins.

Lengths of matches and the tournament schedule are subject to change according to weather conditions, field conditions, and any other circumstances, in the sole and absolute discretion of the Site Marshal or Tournament Director, who will be the final authority in these matters.

 

DIVISION STANDINGS

All division standings shall be determined by the following point system: win=6 points, tie=3 points, loss=0 points, 1 point for each goal scored up to a maximum of 3, and 1 point for a shutout. A game forfeited will be scored 2-0 and the winning team will receive 9 points. In the event of a tie, the group winner and runner-up will be determined in the following order of applicability:

1. Winner in head-to-head competition.
2. Most goals scored for (maximum of 5 per game).
3. Lowest total goals scored against
4. Goal differential (maximum of 5 per game).
5. Least amount of penalty points.
6. Coin toss.

 

PROTESTS

THERE ARE NO PROTESTS. The Tournament Marshal or Tournament Director will resolve all problems.
