Fall 2007 Closing Ceremonies

 

NOTICE: The State has decided to cancel the Kohl's Cup due to lack of participation.

Kohls American Cup

Kohl’s American Cup will be hosted by Canyon Lake Youth Soccer on April 25 - 26, 2009. Team registration and additional information are posted below. This will be a 3v3 game format.


This Event is offered as a festival - style event for all Division III and Division IV recreational teams registered with South Texas Youth Soccer Member Associations. Every interested team is encouraged to sign up for this fun-filled event. Interactive Games will be available to participants and their families between soccer games. The focus of these events is LET’S HAVE FUN PLAYING SOCCER!

Our Mission

The purpose of this organization is to promote, foster, and perpetuate the game of soccer by providing youth with the opportunity to experience the game, learn and develop skills, and participate in a controlled recreational environment. This organization strives to promote sportsmanship and character in our players, coaches, parents, and fans. Our mission is to instill physical, mental, and emotional growth of the participants through the sport of soccer.

 

Objectives and Philosophy

The CLYSC seeks to fulfill its mission through the pursuit of the following objectives and philosophy:

  • All players should have opportunity to play.
  • Enjoyment, skill development, fitness and having fun are important goals for players, coaches and the program.
  • Passion for soccer -- "love of the game" -- is a specific goal for the program.
  • Sportsmanship is an important goal for the program.
  • The CLYSC program is "youth-centered" and promotes personal achievement, teamwork development and fair play.
  • Canyon Lake Youth Soccer Club is recreational.
  • We strive to have a soccer program of the highest quality.
